JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF — as many as you like. Everything is processed locally in your browser.

Note: animated GIFs keep only their first frame; SVG files are not supported. Processing large batches uses your device’s memory — on low-end phones, work in smaller batches.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. TinyPixel runs 100% in your browser using built-in web technology (the Canvas API). Your files are read and processed on your own device and are never sent anywhere — you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

Is TinyPixel really free? Is there a sign-up or a file limit?

Yes, it is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no file-count limit. Because processing happens on your device, there is no server bill for us to pass on to you.

Which formats can I convert between?

You can convert freely between PNG, JPG and WebP in any combination — for example PNG to JPG, JPG to WebP, or WebP to PNG. Animated GIFs are not re-encoded (the first frame is used), and SVG files are not supported.

What does the quality slider do?

For JPG and WebP output, quality controls the trade-off between file size and visual fidelity. 80 is a good default: usually much smaller with no visible difference. PNG is lossless, so the slider does not apply to PNG output.

Can I resize images as well?

Yes. Set a target width in pixels and every image is scaled proportionally (the height follows automatically, so nothing gets stretched). Leave it empty to keep the original size.

How do I download everything at once?

After processing, each image has its own download button, and the Download all (.zip) button bundles every result into a single ZIP file — also created locally in your browser, with no library and no server.

TinyPixel is a free image compressor, converter and resizer that runs entirely in your browser. Because nothing is uploaded, it works on private photos, client work and screenshots alike.
